Oh my, my, my!
We all know about mom shaming, but did you know that in that is labor shaming?
As in, mothers shaming other mothers for how they delivered their babies!
There are women that have delivered naturally, judging women who’ve had Cesarean Sections. Then there’s women that had natural deliveries that judge other women for needing epidurals or other interventions.
STOP IT.
Good golly!
It does not matter HOW a baby was delivered into this world, but the fact that both mommy and baby are safe.
As most of you know, I am a photographer.
One of my absolute favorite things to capture is labors.
It’s intense, it’s real, it’s beautiful.
I’ve had one end in an emergency c-section, and the rest delivered naturally, but with the help of epidurals.
Guess what? All ended in the birth of a baby. The other result? Mom’s were happy and healthy as well.
No matter how you had your baby, you did amazing. Congratulations! You’re a mama, and you’ll find no shame from me from however you became one.
